About Beacon College
Beacon College , which was founded in 1989, is a government registered private college in the HKSAR. Beacon, as the name implies, is a lighthouse. We guide anxious students towards the right goals, and provide assistance for bona fide students to achieve success.
Thanks to the persistent and devoted efforts of the founders, Beacon College has evolved from its humble origins in a two-storey school in Yuen Long to 13 branches with a capacity of over 90 classrooms throughout the territory today. Every year, we nurture tens of thousands of students.
- Pedagogical Belief
The long-cherished pedagogical belief of Beacon College is that “knowledge is for the betterment of the world”, and our existence is to guide students to apply their knowledge for this purpose. We earnestly hope that, with our painstaking efforts to provide quality education, our students can grope their way towards true knowledge, and keep to it.

- Features of Courses
Providing gimmick-free education is a distinct feature of Beacon College. We offer a wide variety of courses targeting different groups such as students, adults and working people. Classes are conducted in well-equipped classrooms, computer rooms and a laboratory. For full-time day schooling, the objective is to provide all-round development for students. For tuition, the objective is to focus on developing students’ examination skills and enriching their knowledge in the subjects they enroll in. We offer regular courses, summer courses and intensive courses to students.

- Whole Person Education
Beacon College lays great stress on whole person education. In order to adopt a whole-person approach, we are fully dedicated to participating in various inter-school sports competitions, through which our students have learned fortitude, determination, striving for the best and the spirit of a fair game.

- Management
Beacon College ’s Board of Director consists of five professionals. The pragmatic way of management of the college enables resources to be allocated precisely and effectively. Our steady pace of expansion allows us to enjoy economies of scale and, with high morale, unity and passion, the 300-odd staff of Beacon College are devoted to serving our students.

- Achievements
The innumerable prizes and awards won by Beacon College have shown its distinguished performance in the educational field. In 2006, our college was awarded the “Quality Living Award, Hong Kong” and “Service Award 2007” in the private institution category by a local magazine East Week, followed by the “Supreme Brand” award by CEO Capital, an influential financial magazine locally and in China. Recently, our college has been awarded the Caring Company Logo and “ China’s 10 Most Influential Brands”.
Beacon College has not only won the accolade of Hong Kong people, but its achievements have also drawn international attention. In 2006 and 2007, our college consecutively won the “Superbrands” international award, which is presented only to a select few.
Press and awards didn’t just go to Beacon College itself. Two of the founders, namely, June Leung and Richard Eng, have also been awarded “ China’s Top 100 Most Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs” and “ China’s Top 10 Most Outstanding Entrepreneurs in Brand Building” respectively.

- Teaching Staff
Beacon College has a total of 82 local and native English-speaking teaching staff, 7 part-time teachers and 22 full-time teaching assistants. All of them are bachelors, masters or doctors and some of them are even holders of Diploma of Education, oral examiners, columnists, seminar speakers or book writers. In order to take care of students’ mental and emotional needs, Beacon College employs counselors to give advice to students.

- Facilities
Beacon College is well equipped with a laboratory, computer laboratory, and oral practice rooms. Every classroom is air-conditioned, well-equipped with projectors and advanced teaching equipment installed. Maintenance of these facilities is on a regular basis to ensure students a comfortable and safe environment for studying.

As a private college, Beacon College has a higher flexibility of budget planning and decision making. We make profits by responding quickly and effectively to the ever-changing business environment. Thanks to the good reputation of our college, we have a sound financial foundation even though we have to operate without government subsidies.
